1. What makes walk in shower kits so easy to install?

Our walk in shower kits are shipped to you in individual pieces and easily assembled with our snap together system. Fitting the pieces through doorways and tight spaces are not the concern that they might be with a fully assembled handicap shower. Each piece snaps together with solid snapjoints and they align easily with alignment pins. All the walls are reinforced with plywood so that grab bars, shower seats & accessories can be placed in the location you choose without the need to install in-wall support backing. A plumber, contractor or skilled handy person can easily install any of our handicap shower stalls. 2. What Colors are available?

We offer the largest selection of colors in the accessible shower industry to choose from consisting of 253 color choices, 188 solid colors and 65 solid surface granite colors. Colored accents can be individually added during manufacture to look like a real tile inlay on our tile patterned gel-coat fiberglass walls. In addition the entire handicap shower stall can be one color or you can combine colors in the combination of your choice. You name it and Best Bath showers can do it. 3. How soon will I receive my shower?

Our Need It Now walk in shower kits with accessories are available for shipping within 3-5 days. If it's not a Need It Now unit it will typically ship in 5-7 days. Custom options will add a couple of days to that. Actual shipping time on the trucks will range from 2-6 days depending where you are located in the country

4. Where are these showers made?

5. What is the warranty?

30 years on all wakin showers, barrier free handicap showers and roll in shower pans. Yep, no typo here. You won't find this with any other shower manufacturer. it's the most extensive warranty in the industry and means something when the company behind the warranty has been in business for 50 strong years.

6. How many sizes are available?

More than 400 different walk in shower models to choose from and every time we count that number is growing, so don't hesitate to contact us if you don't find the size your looking for - chances are good we can find you the size you need. With 177 multi-piece shower units to facilitate easy transport and installation and 180 barrier free or handicapped showers which have a low or no threshold entry, plus there's ADA compliant units, CA Title 24 compliant handicap shower stalls and even 8 Massachusetts and Texas code compliant models, we believe we have you covered.

7. What does mean if a shower is barrier free.

The term "Barrier Free"  also known as wheelchair accessible shower when associated with a walk in shower means there is no obstacle to step over when entering the shower. This also means a wheel chair user can roll right into the shower. There is no obstruction of a curb to get in the way. It is very beneficial to have a barrier free shower for anyone with physical or other limitations and for aging individuals or seniors will limiting mobility it can be an extremely important for preventing accidents in the bathroom.

1. What is a walk in shower package or kit?

Shower package kits consist of a barrier free shower plus all the accessories combined to make a fully accessible shower. These consist of our most popular sizes ready to leave the factory in just a few working days for quick delivery to you. Each package includes two safety grab bars in polished stainless steel, a fold down padded seat [in units without built-in seats], a Delta safety shower valve with slide bar, hand held spray, hose & wall union, a drain, weighted vinyl shower curtain, rod and rings, & a rubber water stopper., a flange trim kit for easy installation of the shower walls and all the necessary installation materials. 2. Do all shower packages ship quickly?

If it's listed as NIN which stands for " Need it Now" it normally ships 3-5 business days. If it is not a NIN package it will typically ship in 1-2 weeks. Actual freight time ranges from 1-6 days depending on how far you are located from Boise Idaho.
 

3. How much will it cost me for shipping fees to my home?

You always receive Free Shipping in 48 States when your order your accessible shower or curbed shower online from Universal Design Specialists. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska please contact technical@universaldesignspecialists.com for a shipping quote. If you need a lift gate at delivery there is a modest flat fee. You will be given a choice to tell us if you need a lift gate when you add the shower package to your cart. If you are not a business with a loading dock you will likely need the liftgate at delivery to unload the package.
 

4. How long does it take to install a handicap shower package?

Best Bath shower stalls ship well protected in multi-pieces to facilitate transportation and easy access into your bathroom. Plywood backing in the walls prevents the need to add backing into your framing. The no mudset - self leveling shower base, lock tight clips and alignment pins make putting it all together a snap. Packages also include every last item you will need for a complete and simple installation including step by step instructions. 6. Can I get tile accents or other custom attributes with a shower?

Sure you can. It will typically add to the production time, but we can assist you with that. Just e-mail technical@universaldesignspecialists.com

 7. Do the shower accessories ship already installed or can I place them where I want them.

All accessories are shipped loose with the shower kits. You can place them where they will best suite the individual user and the factory installed plywood backing facilitates this.
