Helpful Notes:

This ADA Compliant Power Access handicap door opener is designed to function in commercial & high use public applications such as office buildings, government installations, medical institutions, churches, synagogues, mosques and schools.

With the electric strike installed your door will unlatch from the door jamb when the automatic door opener is activated by pushing the handicap button. This sends a signal to activate both the opener and the strike so that the ADA automatic door opener can perform as designed.

Determine which mount you will need by evaluating if you need to push or pull the door open. The jamb-mount handicap door opener pushes the door open and the door-mount model pulls the door open. In either application the hinge side is established from the push side of the door.

Our system requires that a simple door closer be installed on the opposite side of the ADA door opener to close the door once the opener times out and the arm withdraws back into the unit. This design also allows for the door to be used manually (non automated) without any resistance being felt on the door and with no wear and tare to the handicap door opener.
