Review of Meditub Handicap Bathtubs
Meditub a New York and Florida based handicap bath tub company offers a total of 18 handicapped tubs to accommodate most Universal Designs and handicap accessible bathrooms.
All Meditub models are available with a left or right hand door
and include a non-slip floor. Most handicap bathtubs offered also include a built in safety grab bar and easy to install extension kit to accommodate the needs of handicap accessible bathrooms.
Three of the Meditub handicap bathtub models are designed as a wheelchair bathtub
to accommodate a handicapped design with a large out-swing door to allowing for the possibility of a lateral transfer from a wheelchair into the wheelchair tub. This is not typical with standard disabled bathtubs which normally offer an in-swing door.
A front entry walkin tub
is also available as are two walkin tub shower models which all add further to the concept of universal designs.
Meditub recently launched a handicap shower that includes a built in seat. Two of the walkin tubs are similar to a standard height tub and include an in-swing door with an option for a bath lift seat
that lowers a user into and out of the handicap bath tub further enhancing handicap bathroom designs.
Meditub walk in tubs and each wheelchair bathtub are available in either fiberglass or acrylic depending on the model. Most handicapped bath tubs are also available and in a choice of white or biscuit with some of the handicapped tubs offered by Meditub only available in white.
All Meditub models are available as soaker handicapped bath tubs or with options that include hydro jets, air jets and in most models dual jets too. The air and water jets are available in white, biscuit and chrome.
These same options are available with each wheelchair bathtub offered.
Add on options available with all Meditub handicapped bathtubs include an inline heater, Aromatherapy, Chromatherapy, a neck rest pillow, quick fill faucet package with hand shower and a rapid drain system.
All Meditub disabled bathtubs carry a
15 year warranty on the tub and a lifetime warranty on the door seal.
