Outdoor Curved Stair Chair Lift

Handicare formerly known as Sterling Stairlifts now has an outdoor curved stair chair available. This is a unique addition to the stair chair offering as very few manufacturers offer the option for curved stair lifts.

The curved application has previously been limited to an interior stair chair only. 

There has always been a need for an exterior unit that will do more than go up and down a straight flight of stairs and no one that I am aware of has offered a curved exterior application until now.

This brand new unit is called the Sterling 2000 (twin rail) outdoor custom stairlift and is available to ship about mid April 2012.

The new unit is ideal for outdoor use as the sections of rail are zinc plated and powder coated in a grey color for added protection. The main PCB, switches and electrical components are all weatherproof. This new stair chair lift has been tested extensively in the past 6 months in the damp and sometimes snowy British weather without one single failure. Additionally it was placed for many hours in a salt spray tank without experiencing any negative results so this stair chair is also recommended for installation as close as 100 yards from the ocean.

All existing configurations and bend options available with the Handicare offering are available short of any power feature options. It will include the Smart Seat slate gray cushion on all curved exterior.

The base starting price of this stair chair will include 18 ft of track plus two bends of any type.
