EZ Access Walk in Tubs for Seniors FAQs
What is included with my EZ Access walkin tub? •All our handicapped bathtub prices include a quality Roman Tub faucet with hand spray and hose, a waste an overflow drain, built in grab bar and extension kit. All handicap tubs also include free shipping in 48 states and ship to you in 5-7 days.
How many models do you offer in your EZ Access brand? •Choose from a choice of 16 different models of handicapped bathtubs. We offer 2 wheelchair accessible handicap bathtubs & 2 deep soaking choices in addition to front entry and large out-swing door bathtubs for handicapped users. Included in our options are 2 front access out-swing doors and 2 extra deep soak tubs of 46”. Each model is also available with all our most popular options listed below.
What options do you offer with your handicapped bathtubs? • In addition to our deep soaking tubs all our EZ Access models are offered with water or air jets & a combination of both. Chromatherapy (light) & Aromatherapy (scent), ozone sterilizer, grab bar on top of the tub, adjustable slide bar, custom shower rod and curtain, an inline heater and a 4-piece faucet set with a hand held spray & hose are all available. A heated seat and 2” rapid drain are also available. An extension kit is included at no charge with appropriate units. Even with added options we are still able to offer some of the best walk in bathtub prices in the industry.
Can you explain the jetting system offered with your bathtubs? • Our Hydro jet system on our EZ Access walk in tubs for seniors provide a deep soaking tub with (8)-360 degree directional and fully adjustable water jets and an inline heater that maintains a consistent water temperature. • Our Air jet system provides (20) warm air bubble massage jets, adjustable up to three speeds with a self-cleaning feature and an internal heater. • Our Dual jet system provides a combined hydro and air system consisting of 28 finger-tip adjustable jets for the ultimate in bathing experience.
Do you have a unit for narrow doorways? • Yes our Topaz 2645 and Emerald 2653 handicap tubs are both only 26” wide and designed for doors less than 30” wide.
What is meant by the term wheelchair accessible handicapped bathtub? • The door on this design swings out rather than in and is much larger than on a standard walk in tub model. When the door is open fully the entire side of the interior is exposed and accessible. The seat height is close to a standard wheelchair height which may allow a disabled user to access this model more easily.
Does EZ Access offer any large handicap tubs? • Yes we offer 3 models that are 60” long for people seeking a larger model. We also have two wheelchair accessible units with large out-swing doors. Given that they provide a wider opening to access the tub, they may be the favored choice for users seeking larger access.
Are your bathtubs available with front access doors? • We have two front access models available. The first is the Amber 3238 and the second is Quartz 3555 31. Both options offer wider out-swing doors for excellent access.
Do you offer a standard size bathtub with a door? • Yes our Serpentine 3060L is just like a regular tub and includes a side in-swing door for those who want to lie down bathing and not have to step over a high side to get in and out of the bathing zone.
Is a larger hot water heater necessary? • Most of our models only require between 50 & 70 gallons of water to operate effectively and even our largest tubs only require 115 gallons of water. Hot and cold water are mixed for personal preference so in most cases a hot water heater of 50-60 gallons will be adequate to operate the majority of our offering. We do recommend verifying with your plumbing professional before beginning the installation.
Is a heater offered? • Both our air and water jet systems include a heater which will help maintain the temperature of the water while the jets are operating. It will not heat cold water. While normally not necessary, a separate inline heater is also available as an upgrade.
Do EZ Access models have any safety certifications? • Yes our handicap bathtubs are one of the few walk in tubs to carry UL, ETL & IAPMO safety ratings and certifications. It’s expensive to get all these certifications so many cheap tubs don’t include them as they would add to the cost of their offering. In comparing apples with apples our walk in bathtub prices are a great deal.
Is shipping included with your brand of walk in tubs for seniors? • Yes free shipping is included in 48 US States. Hawaii and Alaska qualify for discounted shipping.
What warranty is offered with EZ Access models? • A lifetime warranty is offered on the door seal and a 10 year warranty is included on the tub itself.
Where are your bathtubs made? • All our EZ Access walk in bathtubs for seniors are manufactured in Temecula CA.
How long does it take to ship an order? • Most orders ship out of the factory in 5-7 days and may ship as soon as 3 days. Adding your choice of jet system adds a day or two to our shortest production time. We goal it ship your order as quickly as we can so that you can start enjoying your bathing experience as soon as possible.
