| Since 1992 we have specialized in Universal Design offering expert consulting, design & project management in rendering homes, public spaces & work spaces barrier free. In 2008 we added “green” sustainable consulting services after obtaining Advanced Certification as Green Builders. Our goal is always to design spaces that will allow our Clients to live Safely and with Dignity as Independently as possible. We serve the needs of Clients wishing to age safely in place as well Clients with disabilities & catastrophic illnesses. In this regard we are very familiar with many of the muscular dystrophy’s and have extensive experience in consulting & designing to very specific needs. We also cater to developers, builders and corporate entities looking to build with these principles in mind. Combining an architectural and general contracting background we also carry additional certifications such as the Certified Kitchen & Certified Bathroom (CKD, CBD) accreditation from the National Kitchen & Bath Association as well as Advanced Certification as Green Building Professionals through the Build it Green Organization. We aspire to the belief that Universal Spaces and Green Spaces go hand in hand and one should not be implemented without the other. Considering accessibility for all, one should always also consider healthy environments too, which require that a combination of Universal & Green be implemented in order to achieve the complete solution. Catering to individual & Corporate needs we offer an A la Carte offering of services that enable our Clients to select on an as needed basis: Consulting: Expert consultation is available on an hourly basis or on a per project basis for each project. This may include (& is not limited to) phone consultations, review of plans, site assessments, onsite consultation, safety assessments, assistance with Life Care Plans & project management. We are available to consult on development projects that plan to include Universal Design or Sustainable “Green” aspects into the project. *Note: Our Consulting services are available throughout the World! Plans: We offer a full set of permit ready Construction Plans that clearly define all that is necessary to achieve a Universal/Green Project. These may also include a full Specifications Sheet for equipment, product & materials necessary to achieve a complete Universal/Green project. Upon request we will submit and obtain the necessary permits from the required building jurisdictions. Project Management: Understanding that demands exist all around the world for our expertise we are able to offer our services to assist with specific project management needs. This can be as simple as consulting with designated personnel on a construction site in another state or country, communicating via e-mail & phone & utilizing digital imaging or actual on-site management anywhere in the World. Aside from projects in the USA we have also been involved in projects in South Africa, Mexico & Nicaragua & currently have proposals being considered for developments in other parts of the World. We are committed to providing the service as needed and remain totally open to considering each and every individual project on a unique and as needed basis. Feel free to discuss your needs with us so that we can propose how best to meet them. Expert Witness: We are available to serve as an Expert Witness on pre-trial and trial basis. We have represented both major Corporations as well as injured parties and always consider the merits of each case to assure that our contribution will provide the intended result before agreeing to serve. We offer an unbiased professional opinion using the facts at hand with our extensive knowledge in the area. Our previous Clients have included Insurance Companies, Bank Trusts, Estates and injured individuals. In most cases and with our contribution facilitating the result most of the cases have settled prior to actually going to trial. Teaching & In-service Trainings: We have taught Universal Design to design students & therapists at many educational facilities and offer trainings to medical professionals serving the needs of patients living with disabilities or catastrophic illnesses. |
