Marc
Mendelsohn the firm’s President is a Certified

(CBD) and a California Licensed General Contractor.
He has specialized in Universal Design and barrier
free construction since 1992, and is considered
one of leading experts in the country. Marc has
been featured on KGO's "The House Doctor"
and has been published in magazines and newspapers.
He regularly lectures to college and university
classes, as well as teaching Universal Design principles
for professional associations.
Moreover,
his expertise in barrier-free design and construction
brings credence to his work as an expert witness,
assisting attorneys and litigants in building their
cases and in providing testimony.
The
formation of his firm was born out of his own personal
experience as a young boy – a close friend
and playmate with CP had the same dreams and aspirations
as he did. Subsequent associations and friendships
in later life continues to bring him together with
others living with long term illness and disability. |
In
conversations, Marc relates that it is both an
honor and a privilege to be able to help clients
with long-term, progressive illnesses and disabilities
through universal design projects; his obvious
passion for the work and to be of service is infectious.
Marc is also the founder of the Bomarc
Barrier Free Foundation.
It
is the firm's belief that spaces designed for people
living with a disability or long-term illness can
be beautifully designed and don't need to look sterile
or institutional in any way. Read more about barrier
